SNL has been pretty low on the radar for the last few years, mainly because it sucked really bad. Recently SNL has made some efforts at a rebound and the digital short below is evidence. Hopefully we see a continual improvement in this here case gosh darnit.

Ludacris - Press the Start Button - Bonus Track
Luda dropped a hilarious new track featuring a variety of video game punch lines. This is a bonus track off of the new album "Theater of the Mind." Its worth a listen just for the video game nostalgia. Luda always has the whip material of the finest quality. In other words, listen to it in your car and act like you are gods gift to the earth.
Play It Loud - The Outkast Guy Together Again on This Fresh Track
The beat is really simple, but Big Boi, Andre 3000 and Raekwon deliver on this track called "Royal Flush." This song was recently nominated for a grammy for best group performance in Rap/Hip Hop. Play it loud. 2nd listen is best.

MGMT - One of the Hottest Bands of 08
MGMT had a great year and made a name for themselves as one of the best new bands of 2008. This album isn't brand new, but its a must have for 2008. Check out the song "Kids" below.
Keep an Eye on - Danny Mcbride
Danny Mcbride has been in several comedies in the last couple of years and he is quickly becoming one of the most bankable actors in Hollywood. He starred in the film The Foot Fist Way that was released this year by Adam Mckay and Will Ferrell. Foot Fist is the funniest movie I have ever seen, hands down. Here is the trailer. Check Danny out on Youtube and you will find plenty of evidence that he is a master of the craft as they say.

Little Joy - Excellent Band Featuring Strokes Drummer
Little Joy is a fresh new band featuring the drummer from the Strokes, Fab Moretti. Rodrigo Amarante from Los Hermanos and Binki Shapiro are also in the band. If you like laid back Cali-Flavored tunes then check this out. Makes me wish I was at a bonfire on the beach. And hey, maybe I wouldn't be sober? Who knows.
Check out the new video for the song "Next Time Around" below

Girl Talk - Party King
Girl Talk's most recent album, "Feed The Animals," is perfect to throw on for a party. Its basically a party mix in itself. Greg Gillis, the man behind Girl Talk, puts on a freakishly good show for having only a computer with him. If he is playing live in your town soon I wouldn't miss it!
Had To Post It - Andre 3000 Is Too Fresh On This
This has been out for a bit, but its still fresh right now. Andre 3000's verse on this song is one of the best of the year! Had to post this right now.
I heard you when you told your girl, eww he can get it/
admit it, you did it/
Lets hop a cab, and split it/
I'm kidding, we both going to where you livin! Ha!

Comedy Film News - Zoolander 2?

- If you didn't see Step Brothers over the summer I would recommend checking it out on DVD. It drops in stores today and looks like it has a wealth of special features on it. Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly provide laughs througout in typical fashion.
- In other news, Ben Stiller recently commented that he would love to do Zoolander 2 and is possibly in the process of putting it together.
According to Contact Music, Stiller has been in talks to start production and is looking at scripts. He said, "I've been trying to get Zoolander 2 together and we've had a few scripts. I feel that is the sequel I really would like to do some day because I like the original and I would make sure it was something new and worthy of it first."
Zoolander is a gift that keeps giving on dvd. Never fails to amuse.

Fleet Foxes - From the Basement
This is an absolutely amazing video of the Fleet Foxes performing "Blue Ridge Mountain" from their recent self titled album. The entire album is THIS good! Pick it up and crank it in your place on a Saturday morning. Just a suggestion. Other days and times the music is still good. The website for Nigel Godrich's show From the Basement is superb too.
Follow the Link for a HQ video.

Bump it in the Minivan-Brooklyn Goes So Hard - Jay-Z ft. Santogold
This is a new song by Jay-Z called "Brooklyn Go Hard" featuring 2008 breakout artist Santogold. The beat is by Kanye West and it hits the head bob nerve right off the bat. Get this off of your computer and into your minivan pronto tonto!
Play it in the Minivan - Ludacris - One More Drink
Ludacris has a cool new album called "Theater of the Mind." Luda always keeps it fresh with the beats and punch lines and this one is no exception. Below is the music video for "One More Drink," it's vintage Luda comedy. Even if you don't like rap you can appreciate the humor. If you don't, feel free to continue to take yourself way too seriously.
The Killers - Neon Tiger Live with Jools
The Killers recently performed "Neon Tiger" from their album "Day and Age" that dropped last week. Neon Tiger is one of the best songs on the album and Jools Holland tends to get the best out of bands with his unique show and shooting style. If you live in the U.S. you can probably see one of your favorite bands performing on Jools if you type the band and Jools Holland into youtube. I would encourage you to do so. If not, don't let your meat loaf.

Upcoming Eminem Album To Be "Classic Em"
Swizz Beatz was interviewed by MTV News this week and he told them some interesting info about the upcoming Eminem album "Relapse." Below is a clip from the new song "Number One," it should be on the album.
Swizz said he's submitted five songs to Eminem, including one featuring both Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. "I don't know the title yet, but it's classic," he said. "It's sounding big."
Another song Swizz submitted to Em is a track the producer is referring to as a "Stan Part 2." "You know how 'Stan' ... was the big [song]?" Swizz asked, referring to the obsessed-fan track which sampled Dido's "Thank You." "So I worked on part 2, and I think it was, like, totally genius."

Bottle Rocket Goes Criterion
Bottle Rocket was a film made by Wes Anderson in 1996 and it stars Owen and Luke Wilson as small time criminals. One of the best comedy films of all time, it will be released by Criterion Collection with a bunch of special features soon. If you have never seen Bottle Rocket check it out, its Owen's best performance ever.
Here is a quick snippet in which Luke's character Anthony gets a little distracted during a stakeout.

Kanye Hits Up Dave
Kanye stopped by Letterman with Love Lockdown. Whether you love him or hate him, this would have been awesome to be in the audience for. If you haven't been, the audience area is actually quite small at Dave and the drums in this performance would have been awesome live.
Ben Harper - Ready to Rock.....Harder
Ben Harper has a new band called Relentless7! He isn't leaving the Criminals, just adding a band to his arsenal. The band will be pure rock music, with inspirations from a lot of classic rock. Check out the myspace for a couple of covers and a brand new track from the band. From what I've heard its impressive, which is expected from old Ben.
Head over to their myspace and checkout "Serve Your Soul." The instrumentation is excellent as usual.
