Keep An Eye Out - East Bound and Down

Danny McBride stars in the upcoming HBO show East Bound and Down. The show is about a washed up pro baseball player who returns home and becomes a P.E. teacher. McBride was one of the biggest breakouts in all of entertainment for 2008. The show will also have guest appearances by familiar comedy faces like Will Ferrell. Keep an Eye out for the show. New Dan Auerbach - I Want Some More

Black Keys lead man Dan Auerbach dropped his first solo single today! Click here to get a taste of the song "I Want Some More." Dan played most of the instruments on the album and he recorded it in his Akron, Ohio studio with a number of close friends making guest appearances. Dan has one of the best voices in music today.

James Lipton stopped by Craig Ferguson's place to do an introduction for Death Cab. Dr. Dre finally shows his face again on this remix to Kardinal Offishall's "Set It Off." This song was leaked on a radio show Monday night. Since Dre is expected to finally drop his next album, Detox, in 2009, this might be a warm-up lap. Pusha T from the Clipse is also on this track. Clipse have a new one coming in 2009. So, women always ask me, "why don't you post stuff like "Womanizer" by Britney Spears?" Come on ladies. You can probably hear "Womanizer" 500 times in a week if you have what they call a "radio" with KISS FM. But I found an exception. Mark Ronson played this Lily Allen cover of the song on his East Village Radio station.

Blitzen Trapper - Furr - Solid Listen Straight Through

Blitzen Trapper is a band based in Portland, Oregon. The Band signed with Sub Pop in 2007. The release of Furr in 2008 was a high-water mark for the group as their eclectic new songs received a two-page feature in Rolling Stone. The album was ranked #13 on Rolling Stone's Best Albums of 2008 while the title track was ranked #4 on the magazine's Best Singles of 2008.

The whole album is a solid listen straight through and backs up well to fellow Sub Poppers Fleet Foxes.
